Welcome to Sewing Craft! We are a small business founded in 2021 by Oke Lawrence, an avid seamstress and crafter.
I learned to sew from my grandmother when I was just 12 years old and have been hooked ever since. Some of my first projects were pillowcases, small pouches, and simple skirts. As I got older, I moved onto more complex garments and home decor pieces. I love giving fabric new life by turning it into one-of-a-kind creations.
Sewing and crafting has always been a passion of mine and eventually became more than just a hobby. After leaving my office job in 2021 in search of more fulfilling work, I decided to take a risk and turn my love of sewing into a full-time business. That’s when Sewing Craft was born!
Sewing Craft, we offer high-quality handmade goods that are designed and sewn in-house in our cozy home studio. From quilts and apparel to toys and accessories, we put care into everything we make. Our products make excellent gifts or statement pieces to liven up your home.
In addition to premade items, we also offer custom sewing and crafting services. From clothing patterns sewn to your measurements to unique home decor or repairs, let us know what you have in mind and we can bring it to life!
When I’m not busy sewing up a storm in my little studio, you’ll often find me perusing fabric shops for my next great find or teaching sewing skills to others in the community. I love being able to pass on my knowledge to inspire future generations of crafters.
I believe sewing and crafts connect us more deeply with our own creativity. Being able to make something beautiful and functional with one’s own hands is so rewarding. My hope is that our products and classes inspire others to tap into their creative talents as well.
